The workshop is held under the joint patronage of the University of Bordeaux  and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich through the Bordeaux-LMU Research Cooperation Program.

The symposium was also made possible by the patronnage of the CNRS through its IRP funding program FOLDSFUN. The different groups in Bordeaux and Munich working on foldamers created an "international lab" allowing them to formalize at the institutional level the existence and strength of their foldamer network,  thus providing a stronger visibility  to promote exchanges between the two sites.
